‘The ensemble is one of the best world orchestras of this type. It has a unique sound, brilliant legato and an unmatched conductor – Agnieszka Duczmal’ – a critic of ‘The Independent’ once wrote about them.
Amadeus Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra is an ensemble that has performed on the most brilliant stages in the world together with cherished soloists: Martha Argerich, Yehudi Menuhin, Vadim Brodski and Konstanty Andrzej Kulka to name a few. They have made over 10 000 minutes of recordings for Polish radio stations, hundreds of broadcast concerts and several dozen albums.
In 1968 Agnieszka Duczmal established the Amadeus Orchestra and since then she has been its heart and soul. She is the first female conductor to perform in La Scala in Milan, at the Royal Theatres in Spain and Belgium. She is characterised by original interpretations and acuteness disallowing superficial understanding of music. As she says herself: “the orchestra is the most wonderful musical instrument”.
The orchestra conducted by maestro Duczmal will be accompanied by cellist Karolina Jaroszewska, the conductor's daughter. Passion, vividness, flawless technique and wonderful sound – all this is awaiting music lovers during this fantastic night in Szczecin.
