25 years on stage. This year Kroke Band are celebrating their anniversary. During the concert at the Szczecin Philharmonic, surely the most popular compositions will be played including ‘River of Shadows’, ‘Lullaby for Kamila’ and ‘Ajde Jano’. These gained amazing recognition after a joint interpretation with Nigel Kennedy and were included in the record ‘Feelharmony’ released 5 years ago. Kroke's compositions were arranged for a big orchestra by Krzysztof Herdzin, outstanding composer, conductor and jazz pianist, especially for this occasion.
A meeting with Kroke is a trip to Kazimierz in Cracow or to the pre-war Villus. It takes you out of the daily rut and invites on a musical journey to a multicultural world. It is a concert filled with melancholy, mystery, and also joy and dance. The artists say that improvisation is the most important element of their music, as do klezmer musicians. Owing to Kroke, the hall of the Szczecin Philharmonic will gain the characteristic atmosphere of Szeroka Street in Cracow for one evening.
