“A dark persona in the British piano scene”, “brilliant technique”, “great artistic soul” – this is how Katya Apekisheva has been described by critics and reviewers around the world. She is one of the most talented pianists in Europe and successfully gives concerts as a soloist and chamber musician on concert stages across the world’s continents.
She has performed with leading ensembles including the London Philharmonic, Jerusalem Symphony and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and has cooperated with such conductors as Sir Simon Rattle and David Shallon. Her recordings have received numerous awards – her album featuring solo piano pieces by Grieg in 2008 was recognized by the critics at Classic FM and “Gramophone Magazine”. She is appreciated for her unique gentleness and great artistry.
This marvellous Russian pianist and the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by maestro Jerzy Maksymiuk.
