On the Szczecin Philharmonic channel on YouTube, you can already see the long-awaited, short video documentary summarizing the 12th edition of the International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra. The author of the film, Michał Czarnowski, accompanied our musicians from the first day of the workshops, both during section classes, the first tutti rehearsals, and later during the concerts. He was with them on stage and backstage. The result is an inspiring material presenting incredible emotions, the joy of playing together, and a true passion for music. The second and last concert of ILYO 2024 ended just like the first one in Szczecin – with a standing ovation. Our young musicians, under the baton of maestro Przemysław Neumann, captivated the Lusławice audience with a daring performance of Dvořák's 9th Symphony. Our soloist this year – Monika Sawczuk – also received enthusiastic applause with her fantastic interpretation of Lutosławski's Partita. But that's not all that happened that day.

August 22, 2024 we will play in the golden hall of the Szczecin Philharmonic, which has been ILYO's home since the very beginning of the project. August 24, 2024 we will make our debut on the prestigious stage of the Krzysztof Penderecki European Center for Music in Lusławice as part of the Emanacje Festival.

The tutors faced a very difficult task to choose ILYO 2024 members. Due to the record number of applications, the competition this year was extremely fierce as well. Thank you for every application. We congratulate those of you who will find their names on the list below but we would also like to thank those who will not find themselves on it. We hope that you will join ILYO next year.
