Affirmations of life, energy and fire – all these can be found in ' Violin concerto', one of the best-known pieces by the Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian. A dominating violin constitutes a song without lyrics, in an oriental style bordering on Armenian folk song.
The young Kazakhstani violinist Erzhan Kulibaev will take the listeners on this exotic journey. This virtuoso was taught the Republican Special Music School for Talented Children in Almaty. His studies and career rapidly accelerated, when at the age of 12 he moved to the P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. Now he keeps winning international violin competitions (i.a. in Yekaterinburg, Lisbon, Novosibirsk, Berlin and Buenos Aires).
He also amazed Polish audience during the 14th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition in 2011 where he received a distinction and two special awards. At the Philharmonic in Szczecin, Kulibaev will play a 1722 Stradivarius.
