Arta Arnicane was born into a family with long-lasting musical traditions – she sat down at the piano at the age of four. Today, critics say that this Latvian pianist is 'a sensitive virtuoso and a rarely found musical genius. She has collected many scholarship awards and victories at international musical competitions. She graduated with honours from the Royal Conservatory of Scotland, Latvian Academy of Music, and Zurich University of the Arts.
Together with the Latvian pianist, Sławomir Wilk, Szczecin-born graduate and now professor of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, will play on stage. He is a laureate of many piano competitions in Poland and abroad. In 2005, he was a semifinalist of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. Wilk performed as a soloist in recitals and symphonic concerts not only in Poland, but also in Sweden, Czech Republic, Germany France, Australia and China.
He also recorded an album released by DUX label together with the violinist Bartłomiej Nizioł and the orchestra Camerata Nova. In the chamber hall at the Philharmonic in Szczecin the two pianists will perform together with the Szczecin Youth Chamber Orchestra (SMOK) in a classical repertoire.
