Lora Szafran, one of the most powerful voices of Polish vocal jazz practice, was confronted with Fryderyk Chopin over two decades ago. In 1994, the record entitled 'Only Chopin' was released – the first album in Poland with jazz arrangements of the Żelazowa Wola composer's compositions.
The record features interpretations created by Bernard Maseli, with lyrics written by outstanding Polish poet Justyna Holm. Over the years the programme has been evolving, Chopin's music is now even closer to contemporary trends. Lora Szafran has been thinking recently of recording the album anew. During the show, the vocalist will be accompanied by top artists in the Polish jazz scene.
