Gra wyobraźnią, kolorem, otwartym sercem – tak o młodym amerykańskim pianiście pisze „The New York Times”. Dojrzały kompozytor – mówi o nim National Public Radio. Ponadprzeciętnie utalentowany – wtóruje „TimeOut New York”.
Played with imagination, colour, an open heart – this is how ‘The New York Times writes about the young American pianist. A mature composer – reports the National Public Radio. Extraordinarily talented – joins ‘TimeOut New York’.
Conrad Tao – winner of a golden medal presented by the presidential commission at the White House, he was also selected to the elite circle of the Gilmore Young Artist, which associates the most promising American pianists of the young generation. In the last season, Tao cooperated with symphony orchestras from Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Dallas and Calgary. His vast repertoire encompasses pieces from Baroque to contemporary composers. In the second part of the concert, the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Eugene Tzigane will perform a composition by Dmitri Shostakovich. The premiere in Leningrad surprised listeners, who then rewarded the piece and its composer with a 30-minute-long standing ovation. You can hear the influences of great symphonic masters from the past: Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Mahler.
Filharmonia im. Mieczysława Karłowicza w Szczecinie uczestniczy w programie "Filharmonia. Ostrożnie, wciąga!!!" organizowanym przez Instytut Muzyki i Tańca ze środków MKiDN.
