Płock vielle, Turkish rebab, chello, frame drums, Cajón and Biłgoraj suka, from which they derive their name, are the instruments that Same Suki apply to tell stories about what’s happening here and now. Same Suki are a revolutionary female band which with the help of folk sounds tells stories everyday with no censorship.
Although they come from a city, they boldly reach out for music its source to discover their own voice. The band was created from joy and passion, yet the artists share a passion for elder wine and taking part in anti-nuclear protests in Poland. Today it is one of the most vivid, unconventional and unique voices in the folk scene. In 2013, Same Suki released their debut album entitled ‘Unfaithful’ (‘Niewierne’) but as they say themselves they have many more songs awaiting to be performed and recorded.
