Hashtag Ensamble is not so much a band but rather a cooperative promoting Polish contemporary music. In the programs of their concerts, the most recent works of these young generation composers can often be heard. Among the artists collaborating with Hashtag Ensemble are Dariusz Przybylski, Ignacy Zalewski and Wojciech Błażejczyk. For example, the ensemble performed at the 15th International Composers' Competition (December 10, 2017). The group was created thanks to the initiative of flautist Anna Karpowicz in 2013.
The concert #WITKACY is a reversal of the situation in which music is usually the inspiration for creating works of visual arts. This time the self-portraits of Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz (made available to artists by the Tatra Museum) have become the basis of sound readings. In the deluge of millions of mindless selfies, these photographs appear to be filled with emotions, and mimic expressiveness. All in all, part of the #WITKACY project concept is contrasting dehumanized mass photos with the work of a photographic film genius . At this concert, the photography will be the score.
