On this night the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin will again open its doors to visitors. Apart from viewing the architecture, there will be a chance to admire a multimedia astrophotography exhibition accompanied by ambient music from 20:00-00:00.
Guides will lead tours of the golden symphony hall, the chamber hall with its perfect acoustics, as well as the Level 4 Gallery. During the tours of the gallery there will be the chance to see the exhibition of Joanna Sarapata’s female nudes painted on canvas, and premier Art Print technique paintings in a limited collector’s edition.
The exhibition “ASTROLAB – music and astrophotography” is to be presented on the walls of the lobby. It is an unconventional expositions consisting of amateur astrophotographs showing the beauty of the cosmos through a fusion of image and sounds specially composed for this event. The originator and author of the music is Szymon Karpierz. The images come from the archives of astrophotographers of the Polish Association of Astronomy Enthusiasts in Szczecin and befriended artists.
The tours begin with a short film about the building and its activity presented in the chamber hall. Each tour of 50 visitors will commence every 15 minutes from 20:00.
Before the tours, at 17:00 in the lobby, Tomasz Licak and his Pomeranian Youth Big Band & Guests will give a concert. Tickets priced 10 and 5 pln can be purchased at the ticket office of the Philharmonic or online at
