Sedina Duo – this name hides a beautiful guitar duo: Justyna Sobczak and Błażej Sudnikowicz. Where does the name come from? As the musicians say themselves, it refers to the Greek goddess, who after escaping Olympus established herself in... Szczecin. This is an important city for the artists as it was here where they discovered their passion for music and guitars.
Both musicians lead successful solo careers. After finishing a music education in Szczecin, Justyna Sobczak studied at the Music Academy in Poznań. She took her MA under Professor Alina Gruszka at the Music Academy in Katowice. Owing to participating in numerous guitar competitions, she has won awards in Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Mexico.
Błażej Sudnikowicz, as did Sobczak, studied guitar with Szczecin master Pior Pałac. He continued his education at the Music Academy in Katowice ubder Marcin Dylla. He has also participated in international guitar competitions taking place in Austria, Spain and Italy where he won awards.
For the Szczecin audience, Sedina Duo will perform popular symphonic compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach and Claude Debussy, yet in an unusual original transcription for two guitars.
