"What unites the melodious character of the oboe and the flute's technical efficiency?" – such a musical riddle was once asked by Janusz Ekiert. It is the clarinet, the central character of the Szczecin spring – all thanks to the 7th West Pomeranian Clarinet Festival. This is a meeting of music school students, educators, artists and music lovers.
Next to the master classes for musicians there will be concerts for fans of this instrument, including a performance by a clarinet quartet composed of Szczecin Philharmonic musicians.
The ensemble includes Piotr Piechocki, founder and artistic director of the Festival, who celebrates 30 years of his creative work this year.
Bogusław Jakubowski, the ensemble manager, also celebrates the 25th anniversary of music career (in 1991 he became the first clarinetist at the Philharmonic in Szczecin).
