"István Várdai is this special kind of genius: excellent intonation, uncanny interpretation, impeccable pace. In short – an amazing virtuoso" – is how the critics praise the young Hungarian violinist.
He is a winner of prestigious music competitions, including successful participation in the International Music Competition in Geneva, the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and the International Brahms Competition in Austria. In 2010 he made his debut at Carnegie Hall and Vienna Konzerthaus.
These successes in 2012 resulted in the prestigious Prix Montblanc awarded to him as one of the most promising young musicians in the world. The Hungarian virtuoso and the orchestra will be conducted by Mikhail Leontyev, a representative of the young generation of musicians from St. Petersburg.
