We enter the New Year with Charleston, boogie-woogie, lindy hop and jive along with the Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Ewa Strusińska and the trumpet virtuoso Gary Guthman with his trio. Gary Guthman toured with, among others, Aretha Franklin, Paul Anka, Tom Jones, Ginger Rogers or the Bee Gees.
He says he plays happy jazz – intended to give listeners pleasure, to invite them to dance, rock and clap rhythmically. "The Washington Post" critic hints: "You must know that when Guthman wets his lips and raises the trumpet – a wonderful thing is about to happen". And may it happen each and every day throughout the New Year...
