Mark Rothko combined the sensual joy with spiritual discipline. On the one hand, he savored the sensual beauty of paints, on the other – he extracted their internal radiance. His "Four Darks in Red" are three wide stripes of red, brown and black, and with a long contemplation of this picture, there comes the impression that the colours start to oscillate.
The canvases of the prominent American abstractionist inspired Dariusz Przybylski, a composer of the young generation. The composition was written specifically for cellist Dominik Połoński, who describes the Przybylski's piece as: "a fantastic concerto, full of intense and poignant passions and colours".
