ILYO goes global!
Never before have the musicians of our orchestra come from so many countries around the world and from so many continents. We are not only an international youth orchestra, but also a global one. In 2024, young musicians from 13 different countries and 4 continents will play in the International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra.
As we reported earlier, a record number of participants applied for the auditions this year. We received 252 applications from young musicians from 30 different countries around the world. From the very beginning of its existence, ILYO has been an international orchestra by definition, but never before in our history have we had so many members from so many countries. After announcing the results and receiving final confirmation of participation in the project from the musicians selected in the auditions, we can happily announce that musicians from the following continents will play at ILYO 2024:
