ÉxQuartet & Patryk Matwiejczuk

Erik Satie blurs the boundaries between high and low art in his compositions from the piano series "Gymnopédies", making them attractive to both artists and listeners. The musicians of ÉxQuartet, inspired by the work of the French composer, provoked by the idea of ​​reducing the boundaries in art, in their original compositions undertake the reinterpretation of Satie's musical thoughts, whose moodiness, coherent structure, and simple melody were perceived by many as an announcement of ambience. ÉxQuartet will present two premiere compositions written by violinist Łukasz Górewicz and violist Grzegorz Sadowski.
