FeelHarmony Quintet is one of the most popular musicians from our Symphony Orchestra. This time it invites you to a concert of masterpieces of Polish chamber music for a wind quintet. The premiere of Tadeusz K. Mazurek's works will be a real pearl in the program.
The biographies of the two peers – Tadeusz Szeligowski and Aleksander Tansman – differ in almost everything, except for the double studies of composition and law, which they graduated at the same time (one in Krakow and the other in Warsaw). Their pieces for a wind quintet result from their fascination with this performance line-up, conveying the full palette of colours and emotions in an unusual way. Our contemporary composers followed the same path.
Tadeusz K. Mazurek is a Szczecin founder and lecturer at the Academy of Art. He has worked as a conductor at the Opera in Szczecin, the Silesian Operetta in Gliwice, the Sudeten Philharmonic in Wałbrzych and the Music Theater in Poznań. His composing achievements include orchestral works such as Passacaglia, Psychosis or Songs for soprano and orchestra, as well as chamber music (five string quartets), numerous choral works and the opera Colas Breugnon.
FeelHarmony Quintet is made up of musicians – soloists of the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. The ensemble's repertoire includes classical music, 20th-century music and contemporary arrangements of popular music. Suppose you want to keep their music with you for a longer time. In that case, we recommend a CD with works by Rossini, Farkas, Godziemba – Trytka and Agay available in our online store. Together with our musicians, the pianist Dorota Maciaszczyk, chamber musician from the Academy of Art in Szczecin will perform.
