The aim of the workshop involves building an engaged community of creators to actively and consciously undertake activities aimed at improving the quality of the surrounding urban space. The participants of the workshop will be taken for a walk around Szczecin, during which the needs of the city related to the given space will be discussed together with possible solutions and improvements. The classes will be led by Trine Blicher Folmer, a well-known Danish architect and owner of the Ghetto studio, dealing with three aspects of city planning: physical, social and mental.
Are you curious about your city, its identity and everything in between? What do we see? What do we feel? We will find answers to these questions during the workshop where we will build physical dreams about Szczecin. Strolling around the city, we will feel the spaces and life running between the buildings. We will search and visit hidden places that have their own potential and set their own challenges. We will translate impressions from the walk into architectural proposals or interventions for selected urban spaces. "Sense Szczecin – building dreams for your city" is a creative workshop focused on the process, during which we will build physical models on a small scale from various materials. Thanks to this, in a new way, we will create a bond between the city and a man through: senses, form and function.
Attention! Workshops will be led in English only.
