As part of the Philharmonic Laboratory of Electronic Music, various sounds are presented. This time the space of the philharmonic will be filled with the dialogue of chamber musicians with non-acoustic sound. The young musicians of the Orchestra will play the avant-garde program of contemporary composers and enter the audio discourse generated electronically by the Berlin duo Jac and Jerry.
The sextet will perform works by Giovanni Sollima and Guillaume Connesson, composers born in the second half of the last century. In his work, Sollima is inspired by both jazz, rock and ethnic music of the Mediterranean. Minimalism also strongly influences his music. Giovanni Sollima has collaborated with the American poet and vocalist Patti Smith and is involved in the activities of the Silk Road Project, founded on the initiative of the world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo My. Guillaume Connesson is one of the most popular French composers. His works have been performed by Orchestre National de France, BBC Symphony Orchestra and the symphony orchestras of cities such as Brussels, Houston and Philadelphia. In his discography, he has albums published, among others by Deutsche Grammophon.
