See the most beautiful building in Europe! We invite you to go sightseeing at the Philharmonic building. Tours take place just after the general rehearsals for the evening concerts. Conducted in Polish, German, and English, these tours are excellent opportunities to get to know our institution and an essential place in the region's history. We enrich the tours with a presentation of the activities of the Dominican Monastery in Prenzlau.
Polish-German cooperation
Culture without Borders, a project carried out in cooperation between the Szczecin Philharmonic and the Dominican Monastery in Prenzlau, is an excellent example of cross-border cultural cooperation supported by European funds. It mainly aims to develop the cultural offer in the border region, facilitating cross-border access to the cultural wealth for residents and tourists alike. The shared culture and history of the region, which is exceptionally rich, provide the foundation for strengthening the awareness of the inhabitants and a better understanding of the heritage of Western Pomerania.
Bilingual Fridays – touring the Philharmonic
One of the main points of our cultural journey is the 2024 double birthdays – it will have been ten years since the inauguration of the new seat of the Szczecin Philharmonic (September 5) and 140 years since the opening of the Konzerthaus (October 18). The big celebration will come in the autumn, but today we invite you to visit our Philharmonic – a beautiful building, appreciated in many architectural competitions, located at 48 Małopolska Street. Every Friday during the project, we invite you to learn about the place that continues the musical traditions of pre-war Szczecin.
Tours take place on Fridays after the general rehearsal. At 2:00 pm, our guides will lead you in English or German, and at 3:00 pm in Polish. Each tour lasts about 45 minutes and includes the foyer, chamber hall, Level 4 Gallery, Symphony Hall, Gallery by the Orthodox Church, all the way to the souvenir and publishing shop.

Culture in the former monastery
Visiting the Philharmonic will be combined with a presentation by our partner – the Dominican Monastery in Prenzlau. Located less than an hour away, the historic, painstakingly restored building is now one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in northeastern Germany. The times of the Dominican monks have given way to history, art, and culture, creating a place that houses under its roof the Historical-Cultural Museum, the historical city archive, the city library, and the "Kulturarche" events centre.
