It is no coincidence that it is the Philharmonic in Szczecin, together with ZAiKS, that creates a new brand, which is the International Composers' Competition. The bold space of the Philharmonic justifies offering the audience a fully contemporary repertoire. The international audience watching the concert online will be involved in selecting their favorite. After the concert, viewers will be able to choose the best song, in their opinion, via internet voting and text messages.
I hope that the pieces created thanks to our competition will enter the repertoire of philharmonics in Poland and abroad. I am happy to invite you to listen to the final concert – said Miłosz Bembinow, vice-president of ZAiKS and the originator of the competition.
ZAiKS and the Philharmonic in Szczecin are organizing a composition competition together for the second time. The first, as a competition for the centenary of ZAiKS, without a patron at that time, was held in 2018. The high level of the submitted works inspired both institutions to continue this unique musical undertaking, which is to take place regularly every two years.
