Three weeks after the premiere of "Adela" – the latest album of the duo Aleksander Dębicz and Łukasz Kuropaczewski, we invite you to a unique concert in the place where it was created – the Symphony Hall of our Philharmonic. At the time of writing, we do not know the reviews of the album that fans across Europe are waiting for, but we can reveal that we overheard from behind the scenes and we already know that it will be the highlight of the season!
Both the pianist Aleksander Dębicz and the guitarist Łukasz Kuropaczewski have already been our guests, so you had the opportunity to learn about their virtuoso craftsmanship and musical sensitivity. This time they want to share two passions – firstly, the love for creating music, and secondly, the passion stemming from a shared friendship. It is how the songs that appeared on the album "Adela" were created.
Some of the works are compositions of Dębicz, while others are his arrangements, which in their idea go beyond simple arrangements of already existing works. An example is "Aranjuez Concerto BWV 1056" which is ... a combination of the most famous piece for guitar and orchestra, i.e. Joaquín Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez" with Johann Sebastian Bach's piano concerto in F minor BWV 1056. As the air from hot yards of Spanish houses and palaces, Southern spirit is present in many works.
We took the album's title from Rodrigo's song, which is the emotional culmination of our duo's program. But it is not the name itself that is most important, but the person we love and miss. Certainly, each of you has such a person, so we hope that you will find something close to your heart in "Adela".
