Forest Swords | Lab 5: El-trip

Forest Swords is the artistic name of Liverpool producer and DJ, Matthew Barnes. The artist creates electronic music combining synthesizer and acoustic sounds, sometimes combining them with vocals. The rhythmic section (the so-called dub) is very characteristic in his compositions, which often gives his compositions a meditative dimension. The musician experiments with various genres, such as hip-hop, dub, future jazz, adding more abstract as well as instrumental sounds.

Swords has recorded two studio albums and three EPs. The artist has visited many European festivals, including Off Festival in Katowice.
