The concert by Belcea Quartet constitutes a Szczecin accent to the 21st Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival. The ensemble is led by violist Corina Belcea, along with violinist Axel Schacher, viola player Krzysztof Chorzelski, and Antoine Lederlin who plays the cello. The Belcea Quartet will perform this Wednesday (05.04.2017) at 19:00. The tickets cost 35-15 PLN and are available from the ticket office and online.

Performing on stage for over two decades, the musicians have not only given concerts all around the world, but have also made fantastic strings quartet recordings of Schubert, Janáček, Bartók and Britten.
One of the most important projects of the ensemble is a transcontinental tour performing all of Beethoven's string quartets. One of these will be performed in front of the audience at the Szczecin Philharmonic. What's worth stressing is the fact that along with the Beethoven quartets, a new piece by maestro Krzysztof Penderecki will be played.
The concert will take place within the Misterioso philharmonic series – a series of chamber concerts whose programs and often intimate nature of the performances, at times involving only a few musicians, introduce a world of mysterious sonorities and musical dialogue. The events in the series are a great challenge for the performers: their true artistry is reflected in their sonic integrity, creative approach to musical narration and close personal contact with the listener.
There are over 20 concerts in this year’s series, with the participation of Polish and foreign artists for this year’s festival in Warsaw. We will hear the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and Sinfonia Varsovia, Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken and the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia.
