Paweł Tomaszewski is one of the most important figures on the Polish jazz music scene. He has performed on stages all over the world with Polish and international stars of jazz and entertainment music. His piano and works are characterized by the combination of different styles and musical traditions, and excellent technique and workshop are the starting point for creative thought and free expression.
An artistic residence is a phenomenon located between academic exchange and scientific scholarship, a form of long-term cooperation with invited artists. Concert programs featuring artists-residents (Artist-in-Residence) are intended to show their majesty, outstanding art of interpretation, special projects (site specific) created by them for the Szczecin Philharmonic.

Paweł Tomaszewski, a pianist, composer, arranger, music producer, professor of the Academy of Music im. Karol Szymanowski in Katowice, doctor habilitated, and from 2019 dean of the Faculty of Jazz and Entertainment Music.
Paweł Tomaszewski toured and recorded with such artists as Nigel Kennedy, Eric Marienthal, Dean Brown, Michael "Patches" Stewart, Anna Maria Jopek, Michał Urbaniak, Jarosław Śmietana, Urszula Dudziak, Kuba Badach, Mieczysław Szcześniak, Natalia Kukulska, Grażyna Auguścik, Adam Bałdych and many others. He has recorded more than 30 studio albums as a session musician. He is the winner of the Grand Prix and individual awards of all the most important jazz competitions in Poland (m.in. Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa, Jazz Juniors, Jazz Nad Oder). He has performed on stages all over the world with Polish and international stars of jazz and entertainment music in general. In 2015 he was awarded the Golden Laurel of Skills and Competence in the field of "Culture". He co-created projects: Myrczek & Tomaszewski "Love Revisited", Marta Król & Paweł Tomaszewski Group "Tribute To The Police.
The artist took part in numerous television, film and radio recordings as a music manager, arranger and pianist (Festival of Polish Song in Opole, Solidarity Of Arts in Gdańsk, Festival "Heartbeat" by Andrzej Zaucha in Bydgoszcz, Silesian Jazz Festival and many others). He has many various compositions on his albums and of other artists as well. He is also the composer of two major works: "Symphony of the Galaxies" and "Polish Jazz Symphony" for symphony orchestra, a big-band and soloists.
He is the founder of the first class of electronic keyboards in Poland at the Academy of Music in Katowice.
He was a lecturer at the International Jazz Workshop in Hobart, Brisbane, St. Petersburg, Arche-English, Puławy and Chodzież.
