What will the future be like? At the Philharmonic, we have been analyzing the problem of noise, which has been polluting our environment and public space for a long time. Solutions in this area are proposed by acoustic ecology. During the conference held as the part of the "I hear good sounds" campaign, some various research perspectives of acoustic ecology were presented – anthropological, philosophical, sociological, media studies, and in the fields of medicine – otolaryngology and neuropsychology. We confronted our theoretical reflections with artistic and pedagogical practices.
As part of the nationwide symposium, the representatives of the scientific community, the activists from the third sector, the employees of the companies related to acoustics and medical centers exchanged their experiences. The conference was an attempt at a comprehensive insight into Polish reflection on acoustic ecology.
