Lucjan Kydryński once wrote about the Strauss-operetta era : "Music in Vienna was the best link to facilitate communication in this multinational city." Similarly, the West Side Sinfonietta project joins the musicians of the M. Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin and the National Forum of Music in Wrocław to play music by Strauss (and others).
The exchange of musical ideas, skills, common music making, and above all, a lot of positive energy from the stage. This time Sinfonietta’s concert is an operetta tour around the world with music by i.a. Johann Strauss and Franz Lehár. Conducting of the orchestra is reminiscent of Strauss’ way, who generally conducted the ensembles not with a baton but with a bow. In the Sinfonietta this role is performed by two outstanding musicians, concert masters Paweł Maślanka and Marcin Danilewski. They form the core of the ensemble together with the excellent bass player Jacek Sosna.
