An unusual concert dedicated to the memory of the queen of Polish swing –
Maria Koterbska (1924 – 2021). The stage in the golden hall will feature the artist's greatest hits in entirely new arrangements and interpretations by leading Polish jazz singers.
The
Tribute to Maria Koterbska project is an extraordinary musical undertaking, backed by producer
Piotr Łyszkiewicz, who wanted to pay tribute to the great Polish singer. Thirteen of its most essential hits were selected from more than 1,500 works that Koterbska had in her repertoire. The concert will include such hits as
"Rudzielec", "Serduszko puka w rytmie cha-cha", or
"Augustowskie noce", "Parasolki" and "Karuzela".
Artur Jurek, the arranger and pianist, breathed new life into these well-known works. The vocal parts will be performed by outstanding vocalists:
Grażyna Auguścik,
Dorota Miśkiewicz,
Anna Serafińska,
Monika Borzym and
Beata Przybytek.
The project premiered at the Ladies' Jazz Festival in 2021. It will be performed on our stage in Szczecin for the first time.
