On the album ‘Three Letters from Sarajevo’ he talks about his city, its history, ethnic and religious diversity. With the strength of his beloved Wedding & Funeral Orchestra and a symphony orchestra, Bregović combined the music of ‘three worlds’. The tone of this album is designated by three instrumental pieces, each of which contains accordingly violin solo: eastern, klezmer and European. The album is filled with Bregović’s compositions, which form a clear narrative with a simple, engaging message.
Goran Bregović has been expressing what he thinks resounds most strongly in Balkan crucible through music for years. During the concert at the Szczecin Philharmonic, orchestra musicians will be conducted by Krzysztof Herdzin, conductor, pianist, composer, arranger, record producer, multi-instrumentalist, one of the most versatile musicians in Poland, who released 19 original albums and has already been featured in over 200. He has been nominated for Fryderyk many times and is also a laureate of this award. He performed and recorded with world stars like Branford Marsalis, Richard Bona and Jon Lord.
