Daniel Stabrawa - violin section - Former concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic
He began his artistic career as concertmaster of the Krakow Radio Orchestra, which he left after winning auditions with the Berlin Philharmonic in 1983. A few years later, having won the competition again, Daniel Stabrawa was chosen concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and personally appointed by the legendary Herbert von Karajan as his right-hand man. He served as concertmaster and soloist of the Berliner Philharmoniker for 35 years!
As a soloist, he performed with this famous orchestra, among others the: Violin Concerto No. 1 by S. Prokofiev, Violin Concerto by K. Weill, Violin Concerto No. 3 by J. Hubay, Music for Violin and Orchestra by R. Stephan, Violin Concerto by A. Panufnik and, in June 1994, the sensationally received K. Szymanowski's Violin Concerto No. 1. It was the first performance ever of this piece by the Berlin Philharmonic, which was led by Marissa Jansons.

Together with the musicians of the Berliner Philharmoniker, Daniel Stabrawa created a string quartet – Philharmonia Quartet Berlin, which rapidly gained international recognition and renown, performing in the most prestigious concert halls – from Japan to the United States. The ensemble also recorded many albums, many of which received awards, including the prestigious German critics' award – Echo Klassik twice.

Currently, Daniel Stabrawa performs regularly as a soloist with various orchestras, from Scandinavia to South America, and gives recitals in leading music centers in the world. He also sits on the jury of many international violin competitions. In 2022, he was vice-chairman of the jury of the 16th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition in Poznań.

He has also been conducting for 20 years. He was, among others, conductor and head of the Capella Bydgostiensis chamber orchestra, with which he gave concerts, among others. in Switzerland and recorded several albums (for CD Accord and Cavalli-Records).
