A Birmingham native, Laura Mvula is an artist who melds her classical music education with the creativity and charisma of this neosoul / jazz star. For the first time she gained global recognition in 2013 with the release of her debut album ‘Sing to the Moon’, which combined her soulful vocals with rich psychedelic soundscapes. Highly received by both music critics and her audiences, the album opened her way into the next experiments. The album ‘The Dreaming Room’ from 2016 developed Laura’s use of a lively orchestral sound palette, for which she invited producer and conductor Troy Miller.
