Integra is a series of educational events which take place with the participation of children with developmental disabilities. The concerts are designed for primary school children who have the chance to integrate with children with reduced physical and intellectual ability. Young music lovers will see that everybody, irrespective of their mental and physical development, has the chance to actively participate in cultural initiatives if they really want it.
Last September, the closed workshops were aided by a group of hard-of-hearing pupils from the West-Pomeranian Centre of Hearing and Speech. The three weekend meetings culminated in a concert on 29th Sep 2014 for primary school children under the title “Little Drum’s Adventures” (“Przygody Bębenka”) which featured children with hearing and speech problems.
The kids from the West-Pomeranian Centre of Hearing and Speech also took action during the February edition when they proved that music can reach even the most insubordinate ears!
The April edition will be aided by visually impaired pupils from the West-Pomeranian District of the Polish Association for the Blind, thanks to whom the young music lovers will be able to see things they have never seen with their own eyes.
During the summer edition autistic children will help us get to know the world of sound and will show us that the world may be truly beautiful if we only listen to it carefully enough.
