As many as six premiere performances music lovers will be able to listen during the final concert of the First International Composers' Competition on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the ZAiKS Association of Authors. The songs selected in the first stage will compete for prizes, the pot is up to 100,000 PLN!

The competition was open to composers of all nationalities, without age restrictions. The subject of the competition is a composition for symphonic orchestra, with a duration of 9 to 12 minutes. Only original works, unpublished and unreleased, and not awarded at any other competition could be submitted.
Between 7th-12th September 2018, the Jury of the 1st stage of the Competition, after considering 85 works sent from Austria, Belarus, Finland, the Netherlands, Israel, Colombia, Germany, Poland, Serbia, Great Britain and Italy, decided to choose the following works for the finals:
"In broken images" – Otto Wanke (Austria)
"Glow" – Wojciech Kostrzewa (Poland)
"Largo" – Stanisław Krupowicz (Poland)
"Dalal" – Peter Hindertür (Germany)
"Phenomenon" – Eun-ho Chang (Poland/South Korea)
"E->E III" – Masashi Kawashima (Austria/Japan)
These works, qualified for the final, will be premiered by the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Patrycja Pieczara and Adam Sztaba during the final concert which will take place on October 26th, 2018 at the Philharmonic in Szczecin. Then, the final verdict of the jury will also be announced, and the orchestra and the audience awards will be given.
