Ticket sales for the two-day music festival “Club Paprikash and Orangeade” have been launched. The first jazz-swing concert featuring Gaba Kulka and Warsaw Entertainment Orchestra will be held on 5th July, while the second concert, presenting the new sound of big beat is the following evening on 6th July. Among others we will hear: Tymon Tymański, Olaf Deriglasoff, Krzysztof Zalewski and SKUBAS. All this for Szczecin’s birthday.
The two-day music festival is a birthday present for Szczecin. The city’s birthday takes place on July 5th, and we will celebrate it for two days at the Philharmonic this year. During both concerts in the Symphony Hall, as well as the music stars we will have the musicians of the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. One real treat for music collectors is the fact that both concerts will be recorded and will end up on albums, which later will be on sale in Empik stores. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office at the Philharmonic and online at
filharmonia.szczecin.pl and
bilety.fm.
Szczecin occupies a special place in the music map of Poland. It was here in 1968 that the Young Talents Festival (Festiwal Młodych Talentów) was first organized. It was the most inspiring musical event of the 1960s. Exactly 55 years ago during that festival the careers of many stars began: Karin Stanek, Helena Majdaniec, Wojciech Korda, Katarzyna Sobczyk, Mira Kubasińska or Czesław Niemen. The concerts refer to the idea of the festival and search for the musical identity of the city anew.
Musicians responsible for the unique atmosphere during the swing concert include the Igor Kerenz Warsaw Entertainment Orchestra, Gaba Kulka and Michał “Bunio” Skrok. They will perform i.a. “Magicians” (“in Polish “Czarodzieje”) from the repertoire of Skaldowie, “Under the Parrots” (in Polish “Pod Papugami”) by Czesław Niemen, and the song “Love is like Sunday” (in Polish “Miłość jest jak niedziela”) by Ewa Bem.
The list of songs and performers in the club concert is also quite impressive. We will hear i.a. Bela Komoszyńska from Sorry Boys who will sing “Weird Weekend” (in Polish “Dziwny Weekend”) by Breakout, Tymon Tymański with the song “Your time” (in Polish “Twój Czas”) by Krzysztof Klenczon, Budyń and his interpretation of “I have chosen you” (in Polish “Ciebie wybrałem”) by Polanie, while Marika will discover the new sound of “Rain in Cisna” (in Polish “Deszcz w Cisnej”) by Krystyna Prońko.
