The results of the first intake to programmes by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for 2016 have been released. The Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin has received six subventions amounting to nearly 500 thousand PLN, which makes it the most appreciated institution in the region.

Ministerial experts assessed applications for further editions of innovative projects at the Philharmonic highly.
For the second time the True Musicians Tournament will take place, during which artists making and performing traditional music will compete.
There will be a second edition of the project "By limo to the Philharmonic", which enables various groups to come and take part in selected cultural events at the institution.
The International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra will play at the Philharmonic for the fourth time. During the week-long workshops, young people will be able to discover the unique and innovative artistic output of Witold Lutosławski.
The ministry will also co-finance electronic concerts from the SoundLab series in the current 2016/2017 artistic season.
The Philharmonic is also going to receive funds for a musical performance for children and teenagers entitled “Bromba and the music”, where the cult character Bromba will be revealing her composing secrets.
The ministry will not only finance artistic and educational activity at the Philharmonic, but also an investment task – the purchase of a sound system to allow the lobby of the Philharmonic to be used as a third concert hall.
