Music.Multimedia.Management. is a two-year MMM program which is supposed develop the competences of specialists in the international cultural sector.
Starting with the free on-line courses scheduled for May-June 2021, the selected candidates will have the opportunity to participate in a 2-week internship at the project partners' premises, and then qualify for a two-month paid internship in Poland or Norway.
Each module of the program consists of a series of webinars and lectures conducted in English by a wide group of experts from around the world. The list of modules is varied and includes: audience development, music education, impresario, team management, art curation, sound (design and engineering), and light and multimedia
Music Education
First of all, we understand education as a constant process. On the one hand, involving constant contact with the recipient (from an early age to seniors), activating them, preparing them from the reception stage and for creative activities, and indicating the relationships and possibilities of using music or culture to solve the social problems, education in the field of history, civil society, tolerance, and cultural diversity.
The issues covered in the module include: international trends in music education and innovative cultural and social programs based on the examples of different countries and partner institutions; art therapy and integration through music, development of creativity, fostering talents, teamwork; who is involved in music education, who invents it all, organizes it and with whom it is best to do it; how to educate musically, how to attract attention with music and keep the attention as well.
The module is addressed to students, the graduates of art education, music and humanities; the organizers of educational and artistic events; the managers and the associates of program departments of artistic institutions and non-governmental organizations, musicologists interested in the organization of artistic activity and its programming.
Meet the tutors – Tuula Jukola-Nuorteva
Tuula Jukola-Nuorteva studiowała Edukację Muzyczną w Sibelius Academy (Helsinki), a następnie kontynuowała naukę w Guildhall School of Music & Drama w Londynie. Od 1995 do 2007 pracowała w Departamencie Edukacji w Royal Opera House jako animatorka i kompozytorka prowadząc liczne projekty i wydarzenia. Od 1996 do 2001 zajmowała stanowisko Dyrektora Muzycznego, a także w późniejszym okresie była Dyrektorem Artystycznym w programie dla młodzieży ENO Baylis youth opera Live Culture.
Tuula Jukola-Nuorteva studied Music Education at Sibelius Academy (Helsinki) and then continued her studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. From 1995 to 2007, she worked at the Department of Education at the Royal Opera House as an animator and composer, leading numerous projects and events. From 1996 to 2001 she was the Music Director, and later she was the Artistic Director of the ENO Baylis youth opera Live Culture program for youth.
Tuula has written many professional development, communication and performance courses for orchestral musicians and teachers in the UK and Finland. She has over 15 years of experience as a Music teacher and the Director of Music Departments. The syllabuses and the music she composed were published in OTAVA as educational materials for primary and middle schools.
