The two-year MMM program is addressed to the students and graduates of art schools, institutions and institutions related to culture and art. It will develop the competences of the specialists in the international cultural sector.
What are the challenges facing the world of classical music today? How to learn from your past experience to bring a fresh perspective to your concert halls? How to ensure and consolidate a digital presence when live concerts become possible again?
These are just some of the questions that the Philharmonic in Szczecin, together with its partners Fjord Cadenza (Skodje, Norway) and TRAFO Trafostacja Sztuki (Szczecin), will try to answer in the new interdisciplinary educational and artistic program Music.Multimedia.Management. planned for the years 2021/2022.
International authorities
In order to express the responses and present our forecasts we have invited the experts from the international cultural sector. These include: the Artistic Director of the Szczecin Philharmonic and Fjord Cadenza, Rune Bergmann; an art critic and curator Andrew Berardini, (LA); a conductor Łukasz Borowicz (Poznań Philharmonic); Kathryn Enticott, Enticott Music Management (London), an expert and advisor Kevin Kleinmann (Paris), Gregor Kotow, CEO, LIU KOTOW International Management and Promotion (Hannover); Tuula Jukola-Nuorteva, Education Manager, Finnish National Opera & Ballet (Helsinki); Annika Kukkonen, a producer, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra; Lydia Wen-Chen Kuo, CEO of Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra; Julian Lloyd Webber, a former director of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (UK); a lighting director Katarzyna Łuszczyk, a sound director Prof. Joanna Napieralska; Prof. Florian Riem, the General Secretary of the Federation of International Music Competitions; a lighting director Felice Ross; Stanisław Ruksza, the Director of TRAFO Trafostacja Sztuki (Szczecin) and Erik Valderhaug, a sound director, Director-Lydkjelleren (Ålesund), with the guest participation of artists such as the cellists Anastasia Kobekina and Camille Thomas.
The program is addressed to the students and graduates of art universities, employees of institutions and institutions related to culture and art, as well as the people with artistic achievements who want to broaden their knowledge in the field of management and production of interdisciplinary cultural events
Starting with the free on-line courses scheduled for May-June 2021, the selected candidates will have the opportunity to participate in a 2-week internship at the project partners' premises, and then to qualify for a two-month paid internship in Poland or Norway. The implementation of the project is to increase the competences of specialists in the international cultural sector and increase the interest in some innovative forms of artistic expression aimed at various groups of recipients.
The project is co-financed by the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sports and provides the opportunity to co-create some specific artistic events such as: Music.Design.Form Festival, International Lutoslawski Youth Orchestra, Fjord Cadenza Festival and the exhibition program of the Level 4 Gallery.

Masterclass as a starter
Each module of the program consists of the series of webinars and lectures conducted in English by the wide group of the experts from around the world. The list of modules is varied and includes: audience development, music education, impresario, team management, art curation, sound (design and engineering) and light and multimedia.
The Internet registration for the program started on March 16th.
Registered people will have the access to the introductory masterclass introducing the subject of each module and introducing the tutors.
The second stage of the recruitment will take place from April 1st to May 5th, and then the participants will be able to choose the module they are interested in.
