His music was used in such hits as "Untouchables", "Joaquin Phoenix. I Am What I Am" or "Black Swan". On September 25 at 19:00, during the first of three concerts at the MUSIC.DESIGN.FORM Festival, we will listen to Ludovico Einaudi's compositions from the album "Divernire", which will take us musically ... to the mountains. On stage, we will see the Orchestra conducted by Christian Schumann and the pianist Zuzanna Całka.
Film work of Einaudi
At the beginning of his career,
Ludovico Einaudi composed only classical music. Still, over time he added elements of folk, pop and rock, which greatly influenced the popularity of his work. Many famous and award-winning films such as "The Untouchables", "Joaquin Phoenix. I am what I am "," Mama "," J. Edgar, "The Source of Hope", "Black Swan", "This Is England" and many more feature his works. Einaudi also composed the music for the famous miniseries "Doctor Zhivago".
Concert at the MDF Festival
Pieces from
"Divernire" – the composer's seventh studio album will be heard on September 25 at 7:00 p.m. during the MUSIC.DESIGN.FORM Festival. The LP is made up of consistent and exciting music, described by many as the best of the entire minimalist movement.
Ludovico Einaudi's works were inspired by paintings by the 19th-century Swiss artist Giovanni Segantini, depicting the mountain scenery of Soglio. The title composition "Divernire" had its premiere in the Dolomites, against the backdrop of the Pale di San Martino mountain range.
In the golden hall (and online!), "Divenire" will sound in all its glory. Zuzanna Całka – an award-winning Warsaw pianist and composer – and musicians of our Orchestra will take us into this extraordinary world. Christian Schumann – a modern, extremely charismatic conductor with many faces, who successfully performs great symphonies, operas, contemporary and film music – will direct the concert.
