Achúcarro plays Grieg
This Spanish pianist is a living legend, piano genius, a unique artist and an extraordinary musical personality. The world-famous conductor Zubin Mehta compares his way of playing to the virtuoso performances of Artur Rubinstein. In tribute to him, the European Astronomical Union named a small planet 2131 after him.
Joaquín Achúcarro collaborated with the best conductors, including Claudio Abbado and Yehudi Menuhin. He has been included in the list of "The 100 Most Beautiful Piano Recordings of All Time", created by the prestigious French publishing house "Diapason". He is there next to such big names as Glenn Gould, Martha Argerich, Krystian Zimerman. He has recorded over 30 albums with classical music. The Basque pianist way of playing is characterized by poetic sound, clean technique, far from extravagant performances.
Online orchestra
Soon, we will try to remind our music lovers about all the activities – these classical ones, but also special projects that the musicians of our orchestra have created over the recent years. We will also familiarize them with their profiles, observe them from the back room and see from a more private side. The orchestra does not forget about music lovers, and we will not let you forget about our ensemble either and many great concerts that we have had and those we will have.
We are waiting to meet you through our channels on YouTube and Facebook in anticipation of the next unusual music meetings in real life.
