ATTENTION brass instruments! Recruitment rules update!
In response to numerous questions and requests, we decided to open standard recruitment for musicians playing brass instruments. French horn players, trombone players, trumpet players and tuba players will be able to apply for ILYO on the same terms as other musicians. The recruitment form for the brass section will be available from March 10.

We also encourage all musicians playing the French horn, tuba, trombone and trumpet to take part in workshops and master classes organized by our partner: CORNO Brass Music Festival in Zielona Góra. This year, CORNO will take place just before the 11th edition of the International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra's orchestral workshops (between 13 and 19 August) and Zielona Góra is only 213 km from Szczecin. Please note: musicians participating in this year's edition of the CORNO Brass Music Festival and wishing to take part in ILYO as well, are subject to the same rules as other musicians, i.e. sending recordings and the application form via our website.
ATTENTION: The application deadline has been extended for all instruments till May 15, 11:59 pm CET.
- recruitment for horns, trombones, trumpets and tuba via our website will open on March 10 at 12:00 and will last until May 10, the results will be announced on May 15, i.e. on the same day as in the case of other instruments
- list of required pieces to record and scores for download will be published on our website on March 10 at 12:00
- active recruitment form for the brass instruments section will be activated on March 10 at 12:00
