In exactly two months we will play in the main hall of Konzerthaus Berlin
We are starting the countdown to the first of the final concerts of the International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra, which will take place on August 17 at. 20:00 in the legendary hall of the Berlin Konzerthaus. It is not too late to join ILYO and play there with us – we are waiting for your applications until June 30th.
You have a full 2 weeks to prepare videos, and everything you need to know about recruitment is explained HERE. Participation in ILYO is completely free, we take care of your accommodation in Szczecin and Berlin and cover the cost of your trip to the German capital.
For the first time in its 10-year history, International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra will play in the famous Konzerthaus hall in Berlin during the Young Euro Classic Festival – the world's leading festival of youth orchestras, which for over twenty years has been opening the Konzerthaus stage to the best young musicians from all over the globe. This is a very important event for us!
Every year, during the Young Euro Classic festival, the concert hall of Berlin's Konzerthaus fills up to its last seat. For 22 years, works from Beethoven to Shostakovich and contemporary works by composers from around the world have been attracting Berlin audiences. Youth orchestras from all over the globe take part in the festival, accompanied by excellent conductors and outstanding young soloists.
